The RMS Titanic sank on April 15th 1912, that's over 100 years ago!

There were over 2,200 people aboard the Titanic, including 885 crew members, 13 couples on their honeymoon and 9 dogs.

The Titanic took  three years to build, weighed 46,328 tonnes and was 268 metres long.

It was meant to sail from Southampton, England to New York City, USA

There was a heated swimming pool, two libraries, a gym and squash court on-board!

The Titanic was so new when the passengers boarded that some of the paint was still wet!

The Titanic had four chimneys, but only three of them worked. The fourth was just to look good!

The ship only had enough lifeboats to carry half the number of passengers.

The Titanic hit an iceberg at 11.40pm on Sunday April 14th 1912. By 2.20am on April 15th, it had sunk.
