Leonardo Da Vinci is famous for being a painter and the founder of modern science.

Leonardo Da Vinci was a POLYMATH (an expert in lots of areas).  He was a painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist and writer!

Leonardo Da Vinci’s painted the Mona Lisa, one of the most famous paintings in the world.

Leonardo Da Vinci had amazing ideas for inventions. He was thinking about helicopters, tanks and calculators 500 years ago.

He was also really interested in the human body and always wanted to learn more.
