The Olympic flame has been handed over to the United Kingdom this week. During a special ceremony in Greece it was given to the Queen’s daughter, Princess Anne. David Beckham, Sebastian Coe and London’s Mayor Boris Johnson were all in Greece too. They will bring the flame back to the United Kingdom and on Saturday it will go from Cornwall on a tour all around the country.
After 70 days the flame will arrive in London for the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics! Are you excited about the Olympics? Let us know!
A little boy spotted a Puppy falling from the sky this week! The two month old Puppy had been picked up by a Hawk and flown around California before being dropped to the ground. The lucky Puppy nearly did not survive his fall, but is now feeling a lot better after being looked after by Taylor, the little boy that spotted him falling.
A white faced Saki Monkey was born on Sunday 13th May at Paignton Zoo. In the wild Saki Monkeys live in the trees of rainforests.
A museum in Australia is showcasing a machine that actually poos! Food is put into the machine twice a day, which then gets digested and comes out the other end – just like a human stomach! Apparently the smell is so strong that not many visitors can take it! How very stinky indeed!
