Cats have more bones in their bodies than humans!
The ancient Egyptians used to believe that cats were sacred animals. Lots of historians believe that the Egyptians were the first to have cats as pets. They also worshipped a goddess called Bast, she had a woman’s body and a cat’s head.
Cats have really good night vision but they cannot see directly underneath their noses! They also have a third eyelid!
Have you ever tried to count a cat’s whiskers? Apparently cats have around 12 whiskers on each side of their face.
A group of cats is called a clowder and a group of kittens is called a kindle.

Apparently 25% of cat owners blow dry their cats hair after giving them a bath!
How old is your cat? If your cat is 1 year old, its human age is 16 years. If your cat is 20 years old, its human age is 90 years!
Cats walk by moving both their left feet and then both their right feet. The only other animals to do this are the giraffe and the camel!
Cats sleep for around 12 to 14 hours a day – that’s a very long cat nap!
