Roger Penrose is a very famous mathematician. He has spent a lot of time looking at tessellating patterns.
Tessellations are repeating patterns which fit together perfectly without any gaps or overlapping (think about your bathroom tiles!)
Roger Penrose tried to find a tessellation without a repeating pattern and after many years he was succesful - he used a kite shape and a dart shape!
Do you think you could make his special tessellation?
